COVID-19 related updates

Namaste Devotees,

🙏

We are open — Every Day  5 PM to 8:30 PM. From June 1 st  Devotees leave sharply at 8:30 pm.

Plan for reopening the SVK Temple The State of California had identified places of worship as “essential function” and as such never required places of worship (such as our temple) to be closed.  However, out of abundance of caution, the Temple has been closed for personal services for the last few weeks.  As businesses are opening up, we have also carefully evaluated a plan for reopening the Temple.  We plan to begin with a Two hour Darshan in the evening and depending on adherence of the newly instituted rules, we may extend the Darshan to the morning hours at a future date. We will continually to monitor the situation and adjust the opening times accordingly.

Please note that we will need to enforce the requirements set forth by the CDC and other agencies to keep all of us safe.  While the Temple staff will take precautions to keep everyone safe, the Temple staff cannot provide any assurances of safety.  As all of you already know that the risk of COVID-19 contraction cannot be eliminated, so please only visit the Temple if you feel comfortable.
